Indian Springs - November 14, 2009 - December 27, 2009
Old-fashioned, Southern cooking is common in the Indian Springs/ Flovilla area, and can be found at restaurants like the fantastic Village Kitchen. You can also visit Hunter’s Family Restaurant for a delicious spread of fried chicken, vegetables, and peach cobbler, or drive to the nearby Whistle Stop Café, the setting for the book and movie Fried Green Tomatoes. The area is also known for its barbecue, especially since it is home to Fresh Air Bar-B-Que, one of the most famous barbecue restaurants in the Southeast.
