LaFayette/Walker County – August 16, 2008 – September 28, 2008


LaFayette became the county seat of Walker County in 1885. The first courthouse in the County was located at Crawfish Springs (now Chickamauga), and had been used by the Cherokees as a council house. Lookout Mountain, shared with Alabama and Tennessee, is also located in Walker County, along with the Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Parks.
