Thomson – January 10, 2009 – February 22, 2009

Even more than most other Georgia towns, Thomson has retained a lot of the old-fashioned, Southern cooking that was once prevalent throughout the state.  Traditional, home-cooking can be found at restaurants such as Ivery’s and Miss Jane’s.  Whole-hog barbecue and South Carolina-style hash are other treats that Thomson offers, and are served at Neal’s Barbecue.  Thomson lies 30 miles west of Augusta and is the seat of McDuffie County. Thomson is known as the "Camellia City of the South."
